  We had an absolutely smashing lunch here last Sunday. The staff were very friendly and we were able to eat in the garden with our labradoodle and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
  We both had the Bury black pudding and streaky bacon with a poached egg on a toasted muffin for starters and it was delicious. We both followed that with Slow cooked shoulder of Welsh lamb, creamy leeks and Savoy cabbage, a cheese potato cake and a red wine mint jus. The generous portion of lamb was lovely and tender and the potato cake crispy and very tasty. For pudding hubby opted for the Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream while I chose the Glazed creme brulee with homemade shortbread. Both were devoured with enthusiasm. All this for a very reasonable 18.95 per person.
  Sometimes when you dine at establishments with this level of cuisine you can feel a little second class if you wish to dine with your doggie but we felt very welcome and the staff were very attentive. A must for a return visit when we are in the area again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
